Try K-7 and patience.. worked for me.
It is the leather case and poor design!

I've just received my new skin from Decalgirl and it's brilliant. Not only does it cover up the black patches but it personalizes your Tab to
Thanks for the advice.

Greetings
I purchased a nice Vierra brown case from Amazon and after watching this thread I checked out the back of my Tab to find a slight brown discolouration. I carried out a quick clean with some eye glass cleaner to remove as much as possible, then I cut out a section of clear acetate film (came with the Tab) to line the rear of the case to stop any further damage, so far this has done the job.

It may help to leave the plastic sheet covering the white casing in place, before you put the unit in a leather case. That's what I did, and I don't see any discolorations, after 6 weeks' use.

SOLUTION: nothing to do with expense of case as I have used at least three different types from well known manufacturers and the problem only got worse. Here's what you do: use acetone or nailpolish remover with acetone and either cotton ball or soft cloth with moderate pressure. It works like you wont believe and doesnt mess up the writing on the back or harm the plastic in any way.

Alternative Soulution.
after removing a cheap case I was left with a purple/brown stain on the back also near the side where the strap goes.
I tried several cleaners with no effect, then I tried Cillit bang power cleaner grime and lime.
this slowly removed the stain,I had to leave the cleaner on for a while but it did remove most of the stain.
be careful not to let excess liquid drip in to the case.

Hey guys, i have a GT-P7510, also white with a black stain.
I did use one of the Black cases of ebay (£10 jobs) and it started the stain, i then upgraded to a case that cost me £45 from selfridges.. and that made it worse quicker. So money isnt the issue.
I did notice with a white case it didnt appear to stain.
Anyway, a bit of Nail varnish remover on some kitchen paper worked a treat
