This is not my area of expertese but it sounds like something got corrupted some how with the system files.

If no one else was to respond and I was having this issue..I would perform a system restore to factory specs.

Hopefully someone else can help more?

If youcan go to settings & find About Tablet, scroll down to system storage &see if it is low on memory (23mbs)If so, then back out
To find Manage Applications & remove some apps with large amt of bits(mbs) that you can part with &see if that helps with the "low on space problem"

I have this problem too. It has more or less frozen the Tab completely. I'd be really grateful for a solution. Closing applications doesn't make a difference.
