As per the topic I am after a waterproof case. It's only to read e-books in the bath so not needed to go to depth - just protect it from a splash or 2. I am after a proper hard case - not one of those zip lock bag types...

I would say the OtterBox Defender, but I don't know if it's actually waterproof.

Best one I could find besides the zip-lock bags is the Aegis, don't drop it while you're in there though: Aegis by Trident Case review

Very protective but not waterproof. I am after something like this

http://www.zdnet.com...safe-3999/15513

But obviously for the GT. I know the ports will not be accessible while inside - that does not matter :)

Like it says on the bottom of the add you linked, the KlearKase is not really water proof but just splash proof. That also goes for the one I linked you.
I wouldn't want to take either of them in the tub with me though. I've been watching movies on my laptops in the tub for years now, but something you have to hold, with wet hands, no thanks you. You're braver then me I guess ;)

There is a lot of difference between waterproof and water resistant !

I got this - http://www.buybits.c...duct/10052.aspx - does seem to be waterproof - though I haven't tried dropping it in the tub :) Zips seem pretty well sealed.
I know it's not a hard shell, but you can operate the touchscreen - useful if you're reading.

While walking in a mall, I saw this...

Turns out to be an otterbox. I asked the lady how well it performed with water. She said it was only splash resistant. Very nice though since it was encased in a hard plastic shell as well as a hard plastic thin screen and then it was wrapped around with a rubber protector... seemed very sturdy.

Cost was around Php2900.00 (est. $67.00)

aquapac is the only brand I'd trust

http://www.aquapac.n...dium-875-0.html

I've used/tested their camera cases with my old DSLR in the sea and it survived perfectly

I've used this iLoc Case for my Kindle and it's great and inexpensive. I use it all the time at the beach. Looks like they have one for the Galaxy Tab now as well and it's only a couple bucks. You can find it at http://www.ilocstore.com

although your link is titled "Waterproof Case " the actual video is titled "Ultimate Addons Weatherproof Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab"
Weatherproof is not the same as Waterproof
