I have in my PC all photos organized in folders. For my iphone, i just tell iTunes to sync the My Pictures folders and job is done. How do I do the same in the Tab? I don't want pictures to be sorted by date, but by the folders I have created for them (one folder is wedding, another is camping, etc).

Just drag the folder onto the SD card of the tab and launch up the gallery app and it will automatically scan your SD card and all your pictures will be in separate folders/albums. Simple.

From the Tab.

you could try an app called 'QuickPic' from the market. it has 4 different options for organizing your pics and videos (or exluding videos if you prefer).
http://market.androi...lensw.PicFolder

plus its much more useable than the standard sammy gallery app..

Thanks for the tip! Downloaded QuickPic and it really is a lot better than the stock gallery! :)

After my recent Froyo upgrade (GTAB-P1000 user) my Picasa web albums appeared on my Tabs gallery. I have been into Picasa on my main pc and deleted the albums but they are still showing in my gallery.
None of the normal photo delete options seem to apply to these Picasa albums.
I went into Picasa Tool on my Tab and refreshed, sure enough that worked and the deleted albums had gone from the Tool page BUT they are still in my normal photo Gallery and not deletable. Your help would be appreciated.
Thank you

I have a Q tab 7 in. New to it. Hooked up to my desktop and ended up loading a bunch of albums into my Tab Gallery. They are all JPEG format. Went to delete them. Every time I highlight in blue or check mark one the Delete option disappears . I have two manuals (PDF) neither covers it
What photo format does the android OS use???
Thanks in Advance

Try pressing the pics for 3 sec it will show an option to delete. It will be tedious though one by one. Or connect it to ur pc by mass storage on ur samsung tab and delete it from there

Hi Micksan

there is NO 'Gallery Folder', files are 'collected' into the 'Gallery Cache' when your Tab is rebooted & a 'Media Scan' is performed

The support was no help so I reverted to the factory setting. I was lucky that I did not have much installed on the Q-Tab.

Try to remember to regually back up your device if you do not want to lose your contacts, photos etc etc.

Hi brown eyes

See : Organising Gallery Photos (Including Instant Uploads/Auto Backup), Videos & Album Groups "MyFiles" "ES File Explorer Manager" :- http://www.thegalaxy...dpost__p__37973

Quick pic from Play Store :- https://play.google....PicFolder&hl=en

is an App which can also help with the organisation of your photos in your Albums.

Quick Pic is great and I use it all the time - far better than "Google Gallery" IMO :good:

Yeah, I even used Titanium backup to remove Gallery, which is a system software, and used Quick Pic as my default image browser replacement

"What photo format does SGT use?"

JPEG is the official name for the format, but this is usually abbreviated to either ".jpe" or ".jpg". Both refer to the same format, but some graphics programs like one, and will not recognize the other. The SGT7 likes ".jpg". Change the names in the PC before you move them over. If there are just a few in your folder, highlight each one and hit the "F2" key. Use the right arrow to turn off the blue first, and change just the last character.

If the folder is large, click the "Start" button and click "Run". Type "cmd" and hit "OK". This gives you a DOS command prompt. Navigate to the folder (e.g. "cd foldername"). Then type after the prompt: "ren *.jpe *.jpg" (Note that a smattering of blanks is required between these three strings.) This will rename all the files in the folder. When it is finished (it may take some time) the command prompt will reappear. Type "exit" Move the folder to the SGT and it should work now. -Joe
