If its a system app then the only way is rooting it.

I'll hand this one over to one of the more techie members as i've not rooted either, but would like to get rid of a couple myself but it doesn't bother me to much except they keep running in the background hence killing battery life but i have a task killer for that

Rooting is very simple and all it does is allow you acces to the system files to uninstall the system apps likes Mitch stated.

Have you rooted yet? if not here are some ways to root.

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS NOT WORKING!!! OR ANY DAMAGE IT MAY DO TO YOUR TAB!!

To root your tab here are the two ways to do it.

1. Z4Root <-------can be downloaded here:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0G9H0R6B
2.SuperOneClick Root <-------can be downloaded here: http://www.shortfuse.org/

Once rooted you will can use several apps to uninstall the app you want gone.

--------------------------------TITANIUM BACKUP METHOD---------------------------------------

1. Titanium Backup app free and paid version - install the free version for this.
2. Open TB and select backup/restore tab at the top.
3. scroll till you find the app and select it. (a menu will pop up w/ Backup, Freeze, Uninstall, Run App, Wipe Data.
4. I would select backup app first incase the tab for some reason needs the app.
5. Select uninstall and the app will be uninstalled from you tab.

--------------------------------ROOT EXPLORER METHOD---------------------------------------

This method is much more dangerous as you will actually be going into the system files.

1. Download Root Explorer from the market - Paid version only.
2. Open Root Explorer go to system/app
3. Select the Mount R/W button to change the app folder from read only to read write access.
4. scroll to app and long press on app.
5. Select delete and the app will be deleted.

If you run into any problems let me know and I will checkout what is going on.

when you root your tab superuser will be installed. to keep root you need superuser installed. that is not bloatware you actually need it to maintain root.

just be careful what you remove or you could cause your tab to stop working properly..

Yeah well, it ain't broke yet.
Maybe I'm not trying hard enough:-)

My Tab is now ROOTED! not stuffed just rooted.

The last ROM I installed has a spaghetti flavor which I love but there's just too much spaghetti.
There are quite a few default apps I'll never use so wanted to dump them.

I followed the procedure as described in this forum.
You can't help having that buzz "I've kicked a goal" feeling when all goes well.

My wife now thinks I'm a nerd!

I'm waiting for the release of the Australia version so I can go back to Kanga Bangers,Fish & Chips and Vic Bitter.

Thanks guys for having this forum it's great!
