When I log onto the Play Store Apps, it tells me that some of the apps are for phones. I do not have a phone on my galaxy tab 3, so does the app still work on my device even though is says mobile phone?

Galaxy Tab Model : 3 7.0
Galaxy Tab Number : SM-T110
Android Version : 4.2.2 Jellybean

While most apps can be used on your tablet, you will notice slight differences in performance, features, as well as overall "look" of the app, as in, some objects or buttons appear too big or disproportionate.

There are some apps that are for phones only, and some that are for tablet only. Play Store will not download an app to a device that does not support that app.

You might be surprised Steve, but I've been able to download many apps that are clearly designed for phones, to my tablet.

Maybe its the apps in particular I use. :pardon:

I'm not surprised, and I'm not arguing with you. But the developer decides what devices can download their app from the Play Store. If you can get the app from another source (eg Amazon), you can load it up and it might work.

There's an app that I would like to put on my Tab, and the developer won't allow it through the Play Store, and it's not on Amazon. I don't want to mess around, so I have to use this app on one of our phones.

The original poster was talking about apps on Play Store, so they are stuck with the rules there.

Its is worth trying to download the particular app and try it on your tablet. The worst that i have experienced was that "phone" would not go into landscape on the P5100 tablet, yet on the s4 (I9500) it does change. If a app will notwork on the tablet, Playstore normally indicate incompatible with device.

Certainly, If Play store support for device applications then apps installed successfully downloaded. Tablet is one of them. Your car is very beautiful :)
