Dear All Advance Users,

Keening on seeing my firmware on kies, I download a latest Europ firmware version and set to my phone.
While I was doing it, it fialed just in the beginning of downloading.
As a result, it now only shows picuture of a phone connecting to a computer on the screen.

I've been trying to go to download and reset mood, but they all came out with the same screen of that picture.

What to do...... :-( ?

Thank in advance for your help.

The screen you are seeing is actually a download mode screen. Why it showing that is you had a bad flash. Hook the tab back up and flash the firmware again.

If that doesn't work I have a fix for you to try. I have seen this screen many times.

What firmware version where you using.

What you can is go download rotohammers JME v4 or his JMI v2 and this will give you a up to date firmware.

Just let me know which route you want to go.

I don know what firmware it was, but i just know that in the box of my tab there are two instruction manuals, one is English and another is German. I think this Tab is designed for European Countries.

If it is design for Europe this is a good thing as the tabs for there are the easiest to flash different roms.

I will post some instructions here soon.

Ok here is what you are going to need to do. This is a custom rom and kernel made by rotohammer. He is one of the best at this.

Download files from here

1. Roto-JMI-Full-v2.zip
2. P1-add-hidden.pit

you will need to download odin 1.7 from here

locate the Roto-JMI-Full-v2.zip and extract the tar file from it using winzip or what ever extraction program you will use.

when you extract the tar file make a note of which folder it is in.

Now we are going to flash the file.

1. Start Odin
2. Put tab into download mode by holding Power plus Volume Down
3. Hook tab up to computer(in the com box it should turn yellow)
4. in the PDA box put the Roto-JMI-Full-v2.tar(make sure the box is checked)
5. in the Pit box select the P1-add-hidden.pit file(make sure repartition box is checked)
6. Hit start and JMI will flash to your tab and it will be back up and running.

Let me know if this does not work

Thank you very much, It now works..... But it think some apps i had downloaded before can't be found in the market. and after flashing i got new current firmware version shown in kies:
PDA:JMI/PHONE:JM6/CSC:JMG(KOR)

But what is more mentioning in kies is that THIS VERSION OF THE DEVICE CANNOT BE UPDATED

What does this mean?

Anyway, Trillion thanks again for your help.

With sincere respect and gratitude,
Vichet-o

Because you are using a modded rom and kernel that is why. You can return to stock by flashing the jj1 & 3 files back. You can always go to samfirmware.com and flash the newest stuff but they have locked bootloaders and you will be stuck w/ their stuff until you unlock the bootloader. What you can do is download market enabler and fake the market to think you have your tab w/ your network. That might work for you. I would get the donate market enabler as well if the free version works as the donate will allow you to fake market on boot.

Hi
I couldn't manage this issue in my P1000 TAB.
I passed 1st step creating partition with PASS note and yellow COM value.
Then, selected PDA, PIT (with partition tick). It says it flashed. All passed but, i cant see beyond the bootup black screen with Galaxy TAB, SAMSUNG.
What should i do sir,
Thanks,
Ozcan

Put it into recovery and wipe it back to factory settings then hook it up to kies and see what firmware options it gives you.
try me

I guess there's no other solution than doing Jtag to your tab. If you have Riffbox you can do it yourself. otherwise, you could ship it to one those shops to do so. There's a youtube video explains how to do it and if you want them to fix for you, it might cost you around $50.
