I have a XXX-branded (Asia) Samsung Galaxy Tab. The Tab is not SIM-locked. I could use SIM from another operator on it. However, I find the operator-installed applications annoying and I really want to rid them off the phone by flashing the firmware to a generic non-branded version.

Output from *#1234#

PDA: P1000DXJJ1
PHONE: P1000DXJJ1
CSC: P1000OLBJJ2

Can anyone advise the procedure? For example, which firmware file among those listed in the firmware thread that I should be using? Do I need just the PIT? What about the CSC? the PDA? the Modem? Appreciate if someone could guide me along. Thanks.

Why not just root your tab and just use root explorer to remove them?

I managed to de-brand by changing the CSC code. Thanks.
