Hello. I am still pretty new here but I thought this would be the right place to come for help.
I have the Samsung Galaxy tablet 3.8.0 WiFi only #SM-T310 for about a month now and the more I use it, the more I am noticing a lag in it. It is happening when I am changing views and on the internet. It is especially bad when I need to comment on something. I seem to have to either wait a while for the comment box to open or I have to tap on the "comment" or msg. tag 2 or 3 times to get it to open.
Does anyone else have this problem and is there a way to fix this?
I just contacted TigerDirect, where I bought it from and got a RGA number that is good for 30 days. I wanted to be sure that I made the request before my original 30 days was up and I was stuck with this.
Any comments would be helpful.

Thanks.

If you intend to return it anyway ..... try a Factory Reset before you do, to see if this might resolve your problem ..... :)

Thanks for your reply Wizz, but I don't really want to send it back. I would rather try to figure out how to fix the lag.

I've got too much stuff saved to reset it and not know if that is going to work.
Thanks.

try rebooting your Tab, then goto Settings, Applications, Running Services,
make a note of the services that are running

use your Tab as normal, until you start to experience lag again,
the check to see what additional services are running, when you experience lag

check also in your apps, Task Manager, see : Active Applications, Ram & Storage

Hi Bart, thanks for answering. This tab is new. I've only had it for a month and I immediately put a 64sd card in it. I have not downloaded many apps or too much data yet. I'm still learning how to use it. This is my first tablet. What is really annoying is that sometimes I have to tap the screen 2 or 3 times to get it to do what I want. I put the task mgr on the home page so I remember to see whats going on in the background when I have a problem.

My new tab has been performing well, at least I believe it has been.

Just turned off smartscreen so maybe I'll see a boost. Glad I read this post. :clapping:

Now if I can only get things to save by default to the ext microSD I'll be really happy.

You've probably already found the setting, but I'll add the info to the thread.

-Settings

-Device Category

-Display

-Features Category

-Smart screen

-Disable both options

This feature never worked anyway. Not sure if it is because I wear glasses or what, but I would like to get it to work to at least try it.

Oh, for those using tapatalk I have the apk for version 2.4.13 that I transferred from my ancient phone. It works beautifully compared to what is in the play store. May be some bugs as my phone is running Android 2.3.5 but I haven't found anything yet.

Regards,

Steve
