Hi everyone,

I'm a new member here, and have what I hope is a couple of simple questions. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7", and this is not only my first Samsung device, but also my first tablet, so excuse my ignorance:

1. I bought 2 of these tablets for my kids, and as we have a collection of movies on our PC I would like to be able to have the tablet connect wirelessly to my PC so that the kids can watch within the house. My PC runs off of Vista. What do I need in place on the PC and the tablet to provide access to those files?

2. In addition to the above, I would like the ability to connect the tablet to my HDTV and watch movies via the tablet. I bought a Rocketfish MHL HDMI adapter, but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick. My TV can see the adapter, but it doesn't transfer anything to the tv. Do I have to have the Samsung Galaxy HDMI adapter? Perhaps the Rocketfish one is a little different?

Thanks Bart, I'll try the ES File Explorer when I get home. I suppose I should have mentioned my HDTV isn't a smartTV.

Another file manager I find useful (especially on tabs) is Ghost Commander.... https://play.google....commander&hl=en
