Hi everyone,

for some I might have an odd question, but regarding to what I have been told it make sense. A friend of mine is racing with electric cars, having a Samsung TAB 2 with speed view application installed for measuring average speed and distance. It is very important not to loose the GPS signal during racing in order to get very accurate speed data, so he would like to know if there is a possibility to add an external GPS antenna on the car roof and connecting it somehow with the Samsung TAB. Or there is any other way?
Does anyone have any information to share, please.

Best Regards
G.

There are no external GPS antenna that will work with the Tab 2 at present, and it's not likely that there will be....

All the Tab range have particularly good internal GPS antenna, and generally speaking there are very few problems with gps reception, once a signal lock is acquired....

To ensure the best signal when in a car, place the Tab in clear view of the sky, and to ensure maximum signal strength in built-up areas place the Tab in the left corner of the dashboard when driving on the right, and in the right corner, when driving on the left....... This places your Tab near the middle of the road with the best avoidance of high buildings shielding gps signals.
