I have set my screen to turn off after 1 minute of inactivity but it does not. I reset the device a few days ago andit was working fine previously. I changed my settings within an hour of the reset.

It should time out after 1 min. Does it work on the 2 minute setting ?

Maybe you have an app still running that requires the screen to stay on, like navigation or maps for instance. Check MANAGE APPLICATIONS to make sure all are stopped.
Perhaps your upgrade didn't go as smoothly as it should. If this timeout is a big issue for you, then you may need to factory reset and do the upgrade again.

I didn't do an upgrade, I just did a reset in relation to other issues I'm naving. I did try other timeout options and it is not working and there are no apps running. Thank you for the suggestions

So your saying that your screen does not time out at all on any of the settings ?

That's a weird one. What other issues were you have that prompted the reset.

Have you installed a "screen timeout" App ? If you have, then this might be switched on....

If you haven't...... try one, they can both switch on and off......Switching Off may do exactly that for you....

You have nothing to loose because it is easily un-installed...... Try No Screen Off .... here..
