I deleted the golf game from my tablet using both the on board delete function and also an app I found in the marketplace. The game deleted but the icon still shows up in my applications screen. Does anyone know how to delete the icons? I'm very new to the Galaxy, just bought it last week so still learning. Thanks.

Hold the Icon down until it goes dark and vibrates.....then drag it to the trash can.

By the way capstain welcome to the forum, and enjoy your stay :D

To delete the apps go to settings and select Applications select the app you want to delete then click on uninstall.

I'm having the same issue. It's not a matter of deleting it from one of the front pages; the application is uninstalled and remains in the icons of the APPLICATIONS view - the one you would look through to drag something to the "desktop." It is fully uninstalled, and if you long press on it, it goes to the "desktop," not to the trash. That's the opposite problem from what we're experiencing.

Well, my problem is having the double icon on home screen. I want to delete it, but the problem is "I don't know how"..I try using through the application.

Any suggestions here?

You can uninstall apps from the market or by going to setting/applications/manage application/all and select the app you want and then chose uninstall.
