hello, i just bought a galaxy tab 2 p5100. but it is difficult to write with handwriting. also difficult to play first person shooter games, because they can not move smoothly. Please help me.. I love this tab but I think the problem is this touchscreen sensitivity. Maybe there is application such touchscreentune compatible with tab 2? thanks..

After much testing of writing apps, I settled on "FreeNote" for taking down extensive notes(stays in cursive style) "Writer" to send/answer e-mails... this one I think can be deleted as it remains easier to type and finally "SketchFree" for drawings. FreeNote allows you to adjust the time the tablet takes before rendering scribbles into sentences. Most importantly is to use a Capacitive type stylus. I use a anti-glare protective screen as most of my work is done outdoors

My selections are based on what works for me, doing accident and fire investigations.

From what I have read on this and other Android forums, you have to root the tab to get the functionality of adjusting the the sensitivity of the screen.

Hi Spikes

Wondering what sort of **stylus** you are using, what brand, and cost- must be pretty good and fast to write the type of reports you write.

I've tried several free apps, but it's been a very slow process writing using a rubber tip or foam tip stylus. It's quicker to voice dictate, but this is not possible in places like a hospital.

Have just purchased WritePad for $1.99 on special after trying demo and was very impressed - it's proved the best app so far for me for handwriting to text. It's just the writing part that is so slow. I'm not prepared to root my tablet.

I use Adonit's JotPro. Its weight and form is very close to a "normal" pen and with the disc tip one can angle your wrist into a comfortable postion. Cost was R220= to about 23 Aus $.

Much appreciate the info and feedback Spikes!

After a Google found that the Adonit Jot Pro was easily available here and had excellent reviews. VIdeo demos were very helpful - no need to worry about using my finger anymore, but its still the best so far.

I had thought my Extreme brand screen protector might be the cause of my problems, but its specifically designed for my Tab and Adonit dont list it as problematic.

Hope the JotPro is as pleasing as I found mine. After 60 years of writing with a real pen, writing with my finger was just not an option for me, just as printing every letter was slow and counter productive.

As a mature age person with arthritis, I couldn't agree more. I'm hoping Santa will bring me a JotPro this Christmas :good: .

In the meantime, am having some fun exploring some of the apps you mentioned.
