Hi all,

I want to loop a video continuiously for a long perdiod of time 6hrs+ without the screen auto dimming but cannot seem to do it. The video player I'm using is mvideoplayer (free version). I have configured the following settings below but the screen still dims automatically after an hour or so. I have rebooted several times as well.

-------------------------------------------
Settings configured:

Home -> Settings -> Display Settings
Brightness:
Disable automatic brightness
Set to maximum brightness

Screen Timeout:
Set to 1 hour

Power Saving Mode:
Disable

Home -> Settings -> Applications -> Development -> Stay Awake
Enable

mVideo Player Settings
Video Zoom:
Fill Screen

Screen Orientation:
Landscape

Playback Complete Action
Play Again

Remember Brightness
Enable
-------------------------------------------

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Nell

Get Screen Timeout Toggle from the App Store. It will disable the screen timeout completely. Just tap again to restore it. I have a shortcut on my desktop for it and use it at work when it is plugged into power and on a stand at my desk.

Thanks for the tip Springer. I searched on Market Place and downloaded "Toggle Screen Timeout" but that does not work on Android 2.2 unfortunately. That the one you mean? Have downloaded another called "Screen on Toggle" so will see how that performs.

Ta for the tip though!

I just installed the app on a Galaxy 10.1 and it seems to work just great. One hour and no timeout. :)
