Adobe Flash Player Issues Flash is not supported on ICS/JB. See here for sideloading.
Posted 20 August 2012 - 02:18 PM (#1)
I recently purchased a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (Model number GT-P5110) and managed to get most things working on it however I'm not able to get iPlayer working.
I've downloaded both the iPlayer and latest version of Flash from Google Play.
I've tried using both the preinstalled internet browser and Dolphin (which I tried in both Android and Desktop User Agent modes).
When I get to the iPlayer screen i can see the initial image of each video however when I click the triangle to play I always get an error message 'This Content Doesn't Seem To Be Working'
I have checked on the Adobe site and it says I have Flash 11 installed.
I have tried on multiple iPlayer videos and other wifi networks and get the same message
Any ideas?
Thanks
Rev

Im using google chrome and having trouble viewing some videos online, mainly I attempted to view videos at www.liverpoolfc.com/lfctv firstrowsports.eu and gametrailers.com and each occasion it either said that I needed to install the latest version of flashplayer which I have or it just had a blank screen. Can anyone help?...I only just purchased my 10.1 wifi tab so Im new to all of of this.

I just bought my galaxy tab yesterday and I was very surprise that TV online broadcast is not running... i saw afterwards that the adobe flash player is not supported anymore by this tab/android system!!!
How can I substitute this program? It is not available on the apps anymore and as far i could read this mesure was implemented 2 weeks ago (such a bad luck... I think that if I don´t find a solution I will return that tab!!! :-((()
Please tell me if something can be done!
Thanks in advance,
Karla

On the Flash download page on the Google Play store, Adobe adds, "Note: Flash Player is no longer being updated for new device configurations. Flash Player will not be supported on any Android version beyond Android 4.0.1, 4.0.2, 4.0.3, 4.0.4 ICS"
So anyone hoping to quickly get in and download Flash for their Galaxy tablet or any of the upcoming Android devices unveiled at IFA this week will be out of luck, as Flash won't be supported by any devices running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean or beyond.
