I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 My Daughter put a password on it and then she forgot what it was. I have tried the hard reset, Volumn up and power on button pushed at the same time and all I get is a Black Screen and no reset screen. I also tried a soft reset, in the settings>privacy and reset mode and it keeps on asking for a password? My daughter can not remember what she put in? I also tried to install a new firmware and it says my firmware is up to date and it will not allow me to update? Anyone know of a solution to reset this thing back to factory settings?
Thanks

1.Make sure that it is OFF.
2.Press the Volume Up and Power button simultaneously and hold them for few seconds.
3.When you see the logo appear, release the Power button (but keep holding the Volume Up button).
4.Next you'll see a menu where you can use the Volume Up & Volume Down buttons to navigate across. Check the option labeled as Wipe Data / Factory Reset using the Power button.
