Ok, I've used 'peel' and it changes my stations on my TV, cable box,volume/etc.... but what I 'want' is a app that gives me a listing of what is on TV for my local provider.(peel does it by some retarded genre, and I can;t figure out how to get a tv guide type listing from it, if it lets you even.) and simply be able to change to the station I want..... I know such things can be done because there is a app that provides my cable companies listing...but that doesn't work to change the stations of my tv.... seems to let this IR port go to waste. I love that it is on here...I can just imagine the extremely cool remote control apps that 'could' be made for the galaxy tab 10.1...I mean seriously....major potential here..... so...the real question is I suppose are there any really cool ones out there, because Peel obviously isn't one. I have tried a few different ones, but they for some lame reason won;t control my sony TV or my comcast digital cable box (you'd think the people who make these things would allow you to manually even enter control codes...not rocket science really.....but no.....) anyways, figured someone here should know of something if that something exists.

The Peel App very much depends on what country you are in. So far it's seems to suit the USA market and they have the full functionality you desire.
Here in the UK, I can only do the same as you have stated...... don't know where you're from ??

If you view the Peel App on YouTube it does masses but not for everyone it seems

I don't get it.....why if I'm the lucky one is it not doing any of those things for me that I want? I know me being a American automatically entitles me to be superior, but yet I am here asking for help.... :/

No seriously, I do have the 5113, so have the IR port, I am sorry and find it silly you folks in the UK didn't get one....doesn;t make sense to me. but that app itself just doesn't seem to let me view by channel/etc.

I'm afraid that if the video clip didn't help you, then you won't be able to find much other information about the Peel App in here.
Very few members have been in to discuss it yet (Americans) and very few other nationalities tabs have the IR or it's true functions.

I started some discussions in the 7 plus section but it didn't take off.
Maybe some people will bump onto this thread in the near future.

But in the mean time,If you do get some solutions please come back and post up your findings we will be waiting to hear from you.

I just got my galaxy tab 2 10.1 5113 Ics and i to live in the USA and I think peel sucks. I would remove it if I could. The main problem is that I would go through the setup (50 times @ least) each time everything works except my cable box. even though it shows up on the screen. Each time this happens they require you to email them the model # (again 50 times) so far they responded 1 and because I wrote them a nasty email. They appologized for dropping the ball. That was 2 1/2 weeks ago. Still nothing. Everyone in the UK that is upset they dont have it dont be. I have a Samsung tv and I use there app I think Sony has a app for their tvs. Good Luck.

only problem I have with peel - the volumn control part does.not.control my volumn.
any suggestions out there?
