Upgrade coming? ICS 4.0.4 NOT Jelly Bean

I just plugged by GT in to me computer to transfer some files, and Kies tried to do a firmware upgrade, but it kept dropping the connection. (I updated Kies, restarted both computer and tablet, but no joy.)

I'll try it again after I charge it, but I wonder if this could be Jelly Bean? Hoping... ;-)

If you're connected to Wi-fi the Tab 2 will try to update via OTA to version 4.0.4.... It may not update properly if you're rooted.... It would not update for me...

I'm on wi-fi and mine still shows 4.0.3

think you will have to wait a little longer for JB some how. I would imagine that Asus newer tabs will get it first just behind the Nexus range.
However....in devs we trust.

I got the upgrade to 4.0.4 on my stock gtab2 (could be staggering it to avoid too much server load or is it US only for right now) ?

Very interesting!! Snooping around the internet, this model doesn't seem to be mentioned for an update at this time!

Mine still has 4.0.3.........I'm in NY.....not sure if that's a factor.

I was able to download the update, but I got file signature errors when it was trying to install.... The update was for version 4.0.4... not jelly bean...

Surely your not surprised.....

The first device to run Jelly Bean is the Nexus 7, and it's only just being shipped......If you buy one, then you will have Jelly Bean, if you don't, you are in for quite a wait, for it to arrive on other devices..... :)

It finally just did it OTA (via WiFi), but it was just 4.0.4. Oh well, that's OK, it does seems to run a bit snappier now, and my Nexus 7 should be here this week!

just to make you feel better........Jellybean Aosp Roms have just landed on the Asus Tf101.........and i can verify.........its much butter (even without flash support)

I got 4.0.4 a few days ago, OTA.

I noticed a lengthy description of the new features in 4.1 on my tablet when I woke it up today.

(I still have 4.0.4)

Anyone know what that's about?

Careful, when mine updated to 4.04 it would no longer charge when plugged in, and turned on. after days on the chat line, i was told by samsung to return it to best buy. I did that then my NEW tablet updated to 4.04. Same problem, it will not charge if it is turned on. Tech support had me return it to the factory yesterday.....

That's crazy! When it was still ON, neither would charge when plugged in to either a pc or the wall?

Haven't seen anything like that with mine.........

Today my tablet asked if I wanted to update Android, so I said yes. It seemed to work fine, but hung on updating app #1 of 99 for a couple hours.

I eventually held the start button for a long time, it re-booted, and it quickly went through the app optimizations.

I still have 4.0.4

Anyone know what might've updated?

I got my GT 2 7.0 in June, 2012. Couple of days ago, I noticed it went thru a prolonged software update, NOT initiated by me. I have NOT noticed any performance improvements, and it still reads as VERSION 4.0.4. I do wish Samsung broadcasts what an update is all about, either before or after the auto process or by a separate email. If you do agree with me, PLEASE make your view known. Thanks.

I noticed a couple of days ago my Motorola Xoom as JB. Wondering why Samsung behind the curve on this since the XOom is the older of the two...then I realized.. Google owns Motorola. Duh...
