Screen lock - on/off side button annoyance Side on/off side screen unlock button is a pain to push all the time

Heya Galaxiers :)

Im new to Android and tablets. Huge learning curve.

One thing that annoys me endlessly is every time the screen locks, I have to push the side on/off button to activate the screen (and then touch the screen as well to further activate the device) Is there any way to get rid of having to push the side on/off to activate the tablet. It would be super if one could only touch the screen?

The purpose of the screen turning off is to save battery. Since there isn't a home button, we have to push the side button.

I don' think there is any other alternative. I know on the iPad, the screen turns back on when you use the magnetic flap from the cover they sell.

I bought an ebay bookcover case and it slightly cover the button on the side. So I know how you feel. It's a bit annoying.
