I have downloaded some movies to my tablet so that I can play them on the airplane where I will not have a network connection.
But when I try to play these movies, the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is says: "No Network Connection. Try again later". I tried turning off Wi-FI, but I still get the message. I should be getting any Network connection errors when trying to play videos or even e-books that I have downloaded.
Can someone tell me what the problem could be?
Thanks

If your Movies contain DRM, the Tab will need a "one time" connection to the internet to download their licenses......

I have watched these movies before without having a WIFI connection. So, it's not really needed.

I downloaded the movies to my computer and then copied over to the Galaxy. It was working before..when I had no network connection.
Also, if you purchased and downloaded a E-Book, you should be able to open it and read it anywhere regardless if you have a network connection.
I guess my point is, I should be able to view things on my tablet that I have downloaded without needing a network connection.

Not necessarily so.....
Two things can stop you..... DRM and Codecs
DRM I have explained previously
Codecs that are compatible with your Tab, that will allow you to play them on your device....
The other thing you could try is a different Player.....but make sure to check compatibility with your Tab

It is if you have transferred them to another Device, because the licenses will not have traveled with them....

have you watched these movies before (& Ebooks) on this particular Tab ?
if you watched (or read) them on some other Tab, or watched them on this Tab before a Factory Reset, or OS re-Install,
you will not have the required DRM License, so you will need a Network Connection to acquire DRM Licenses for the Movies & Ebooks
