It was inevitable that Samsung would release Galaxy Note 2. But a launch this October to compete with the release of Apple’s iPhone 5, is somewhat of a surprise.
While this remains unconfirmed by Samsung at the moment, Korea’s MK Business News has reported the decision was made recently when the electronics giant finalized its market strategy for the second half of the year.
What upgrades are in the works?
The phablet will sport a quad-core processor, an unbreakable plane display (UBP),a bigger battery, sturdier frame and feature the latest OS, Android Jelly Bean. The display is also rumored to be 5.4 inches (diagonally), which is one tenth of an inch bigger than the original Galaxy Note’s display.
