First, let it be understood that I'm a complete novice when it comes to tablets - thus my desire to learn from those within in this group. I've been thinking about getting my first tablet (Galaxy Tab 7") simply because of the price $99. However, what I don't know is if I'm throwing my money away on old products. I'm not ( nor will be ) a heavy user of the tablet, but thought this may be a good introduction to the tablet-world. I will primarily be using it for e-mail, phone ( with bluetooth??), reading books, etc. I don't play games, download movies, etc. I'm needing some practical advice - as I've been reluctant to purchase a tablet with the need to purchase two data plans...one for my smartphone and the other for the tablet. However, I'm told that Verizon is making some plan changes that will allow for a better package deal with multiple devices. Will the Galaxy Tab be a waste of money...3G, old technology, etc. Or will it be a pleasant surprise for someone like me who is exploring their first purchase? Your thoughts and comments are appreciated. Thanks -

a good starting point into Android & Tablets, for $99 you will be getting what others paid $300 for 18 months ago
plus you have all the experience they have accumulated in that time, listed here on the forum, to refer to :good:

Go for it. As Bart says, anything that you have a question on, there will likely be an answer out there. As well, I have the 7 and I have a 10.1 and I do very much enjoy the convenience of that 7 inch screen. If the price is good for you, the tablet will be good to you.
