How to connect Tab2 7.0 WIRELESSLY without Kies or Bluetooth?

Can anyone tell me how to make Windows XP see my Samsung GALAXY Tab2 7.0 as a "drive letter" on my home LAN and vice-versa? (For example, my PC sees and can connect to my wireless laptop as a "drive letter" on my home network. I want the same capability with the Tablet for the purpose of sharing files.)

Background: I have the GALAXY Tab2 7.0 WI-FI set up properly wirelessly on my home network. The Tab2 connects to the Internet, GooglePlay, sends and receives email, and even connects wirelessly to my own PC through Kies Air (though it will only transfer media files that way--a gripe I'd like to address another time). The Tablet ipconfig=102 is within the network range of 100-199.

I want the PC to see the Tablet (and its SD cards with folders & files), and the Tablet to see the PC (with folders & files) WIRELESSLY without resorting to Kies or Bluetooth.

Can anyone who has done this tell me how to do it?
.

it is not possible to see your Tab on the Windows Home Network
best workaround, on your Tab use ES File Explorer, on your PC & Laptop create a folder 'Desktop Shared Files', 'laptop Shared Files'
(right click each folder, properties & set to Share)

on your Tab, open ES File Explorer, Menu, Show Tabs, tap LAN (top of screen), Menu, New+, Scan, .... you should pick up your PC & Laptop
(probably IP's, long press & rename to PC, Laptop), tap PC, you should see your 'Desktop Shared Folder', tap Laptop you should see your 'Laptop Shared Folder',
now you can transfer files to & from your Tab & PC, or your Tab & Laptop
it just means to copy files to the Tab from your PC or Laptop, you have to copy them to the 'PC Shared Folder' on the PC, & the 'Laptop Shared Folder' on the laptop,
when you copy files from the Tab to the PC or Laptop, they will show up in the respective 'Shared Folder'
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
there is also an app 'MyPhoneExplorer Client' for your Tab & a PC download for your PC & Laptop,
these can connect by wi-fi & you can see all the files & folders on your Tab & SD Card, on either your PC or Laptop,
you still wont be able to see all files & folders that are on your PC & Laptop, with your Tab

you can only see the 'Shared Folder' by using the ES File Explorer method

well, there is anther way of transfering data
load the app wifi file transfer and start it. It provides you with an IP adress, which you enter into your browser on your PC
The browser will open a window, which shows your tablet files, select one or several and download them to your pc
a facility on the right side of the window allows you to browse through the pc files and upload them to the tablet.
quite convenient, if you just want to handle a few files.

Since I have a linux pc MyPhoneExplorer does not work on it

Thanks for the Info Winfried .....

Unfortunately, after using it successfully for the first time....it crashed my GT-P1000 to a complete shutdown :shok:

I wonder if this is just a "one off" or if other people's Tabs have crashed on exiting this App ?

ES file explorer ? ..... ES File Explorer File Manager

if I use wifi to connect myphoneexplorer, will it slow down my internet connection? ..... hardly at all, just being connected 0mps network use,
Refresh, viewing or editing your Tab files on the PC uses a short burst 1mps
