Mine is a Model P6210 and does not offer the option "USB Settings" in the Wireless & Networks tab. I have not learned yet how to transfer files between the Galaxy Tab and my MacBook, or between the Tab and a USB storage medium.

Try these ways:
1) Go to Settings >; Wireless & Network >; USB and select Mass Storage
2) Now connect your Galaxy tab USB to your Mac. And tadaa! Now you’ll see the drive for it and you can start dragging your files.
Another way, you can use the three part software - Android Transfer for Mac to transfer files between galaxy tab and your Macbook.
