Hey Guys. I found that someone made a "One Click Lag Fix" for our Tabs. Worked wonders on mine. Suggest that you make the slider to 1GB though.

Here is the file: http://www.android-h...-oclf.2.2.7.apk

Here are the instructions: http://translate.goo...l%26prmd%3Divns

It has been translated to English.

I'm not sure if i'd seen a post on here or another one of the SGT sites but they said it was useless, might have to give it a try me thinks.

One of the first things I did when I got my SGT :-) It worked fine on my SGS so thought I'd try with my tab and hey presto.....

Before ~ 1000

Guess that means it does work ;-)

Everything seems so much better.

Although im still addicted to constantly checking what apps are running, wish i could leave that alone.
I liked that feature in the stock launcher where backing out of an app actually closed it, but now im on launcher pro i constantly seem to be shutting things down.

So now in rooted, is their any other essential apps you would reccomend?

I've rooted, and installed this, but I can't get it to work :(

I've run the tools module that it tells you to run at the start, but when I try to run the lag fix itself, I just get a message reporting that I can't do that because there's not enough space in 'data', despite the fact that the free space analysing module shows I have well in excess of 900Mb free :|

Anyone seen anything like that happen before?

Have you tried moving the slider down a bit to say 500mb?
Not really sure it just worked for me, and i would have been stuck like you if it hadnt.

I would be interested to know how this program actually works, is it creating like virtual system memory?

I love it its given my tab a whole new lease of life.
No more waiting around for things to happen, its just boom and its done!
Dolphin Browser seems to be flying along now too :-)

Not sure what you mean by this; I don't see a slider :| I run the OCLF app, and all I see is a list of in-app modules, some are marked available and some are marked unavailable.

The slider is on the lag fix app.
After you have installed it.

I have installed the software, but the lag fix module fails to run, citing insufficient space in \Data, however, the free space analysing module reports 968Mb free :(

Wasn't planning on rooting my tab, but since I did so to fix my dhcp problem I thought it'd be interesting to try this. Quite a marked difference in responsiveness and smoother scrolling, impressive!

Add to this, had an hour or so playing, runs better now than it has since I had it I think!

Doubled my standard score :-)

FINALLY! Installed and sorted! :)

Ok, so, DEFINITELY more than 'One Click', in fact, firmly in the realm of 'A Bit Of Messing About'; perhaps they should change the name? ;)

First issue was space. Apparently, 968Mb isn't enough! Not by much, it seems that an extra hundred meg or so was plenty, but the issue was made far more complex by the fact that you can't run OCLF on Froyo if there are any (and I mean *ANY*) applications installed on the SD card partition of the unit's internal storage, regardless of how much free space exists - anyone want to guess how I initially cleared up the extra hundred meg on the 'phone' storage partition? ;) So, a long drawn out process, with some repetitive operations required, however, sorted now.

My Quadrant score leapt from 1003 to 2176, and I instantly noticed a speed increase in not only the general system response, but also in particular from two of my browsers (Dolphin and NetFront), both of which were fairly sluggish before, and also from the Swype keyboard. The payoff however seems to have been a fairly dramatic increase in energy consumption; something in the region of 29% according to my initial calculations, turning a heavy useage cycle of seven hours between recharges into five, however, 29% more energy for a 117% speed increase is not an unreasonable trade in my estimation.

Very strange. I am able to run with the SD card in it with stuff on it.

That slider is best used for 2GB of space. Gives you tons more room and does not effect the mod.
