Can I connect an external hard drive to my tablet? I need to take info with me when I work and do not want to carry laptop, tablet and external hard drive.

After a lot of searching you will find that spinning hard drives don't work, but usb thumb drives work fine.

This isn't true. I have a 250 GB external hard drive that I connect to regularly. For it to work however, the tab must be rooted, SuperUser added and an app such as 'Usb Mass Storage Watcher' installed.

So the answer is 'Out of the box, it isn't possible, but by rooting and adding an app, it is.'
