Hi! My 7 yr old daughter is now the proud owner of a Samsung Galaxy Tablet 8.9. I have it registered to her gmail account, but obviously, she doesn't have a credit card, and I don't want her to be able to purchase apps and things using my credit card while using the tablet.

But I would like her to be able to play a few paid apps on it. I'm trying to find out if it is possible for me to buy apps, perhaps using my own computer, and then "send" them to the Tablet for her? (Much like I can buy ebooks on my computer and send them to my Kindle Fire).

I welcome any other solutions to the problem that I may not have considered.

Thanks in advance.

Are you rooted? What I do is....download to my phone. Use root file manager to bring up file. Send to her gmail address or my own dropbox account. Take her phone, open my dropbox account, install from there.

If you aren't rooted, download to pc. Then send to her email,or to your dropbox account. I find if apps come from sources "other than" the market, they are easier to share...

Wah, well I don't even know what rooted means or what dropbox is.

check out the "Google Prepaid Card" for the "Google Wallet" :- http://www.google.co...s-payments.html
Add Funds to Google Prepaid Card :- http://support.googl...49429&ctx=topic

with the Pre-Paid Card, you set the amount credited to that card, so you have control of the Maximum spend

Good to know about the prepaid Google Wallet. Maybe I'll try that, thanks!
