Galaxy G P1000 does not turn off I switch the tablet off and find out that it never does

Hello everyone.

I am writing from Urbe, Savona, Italy. I am new to Tablet and I have found several things to deal with my Galaxy P100

1. It does not turn off , even when I do press the Power off.

2. It takes ever so long to start the navigation. Thus is GPS seems to be terrible slow. Been this feature why I got this tablet as it is more manageable in a lady's handbag.

3. The Incoming email are never the actual one coming but always the last 4 days one. I have changed the setting but still it is its way.

For a 69 years old lady although has worked with computers for years, still it is a problem to deal with this new technology.

Any help?

& Kies software for your PC

& why not edit your profile signature to include your Tab model, tap your "UserName" (top of screen),
tap "My Profile", tap "Edit my profile", tap "Change Signature" :-
ADD :- your Galaxy Tab Model Number

check your battery charge & re-charge if needed

is that your Email app or your Gmail app ? .... in the Gmail app, Menu, More, Settings, tap your UserName@gmail.com, tap "Sync inboxes & Labels,
go down the list by tapping the >, & select your sync choices from the options
