I was trying to update my tab from Froyo to Gingerbread from the directions on this site.
However, on the very second step, nothing happened any further.
Now the screen shows AT&T logo in the beginning and nothing afterwords, and the screen is dark, though buttons are lighted.

Anyone help please.

Thank you Bart.
One question, which download should I pick? Any?

Pressing power and up-volume does not take me to 'recovery mode'.

can you get into "Download Mode" ?

if so you would need "The Full Wipe" installation :-
You should download the VERSION 5 of the Gingerbread-based stock-safe file (001001-GB-stock-safe_v5.zip)
You should download the Overcome Kernel 4.0.0 ODIN/TAR Version (002001-Overcome_Kernel_v4.0.0.tar)
You should download the Overcome 7 Series ROM 4.0.0 Wipe Edition (001002-Overcome_7_Series_v4.0.0_Wipe.zip)

then follow the instructions in "The Installation Guide - The Overcome Experience.pdf"

Anyone help please ...

I followed the steps from 1 (Extract the 001001-GB....zip) file to 6 (one you've seen the green PASS),
My Tab rebooted but is stuck on AT&T logo, and not passing through it.

in part 5. before you clicked on the big Start button, did you make sure you had all three options checked in "Re-Partition", "Auto-Reboot", "F.Reset Time" ?

Bart,
Thanks a lot for this tip. I was stuck at this same position since yesterday and successfully came out of this.
