Hi, My GT7.7 screen suddenly went black as I was viewing a webpage on it. I can still see that it is powered 'on' as there is a thin white line on the right edge but rest is black. You can see it is also on when you press the on/off button which makes it completely black so you cannot see the bezel edge. I can still hear sound when I reboot and also the key presses seem to work and I hear a 'click' sound. I have tried rebooting etc but no difference. I purchased it 2nd hand and it has been fine for a week with medium use and there is no warranty. Please can anyone help or know what is likely wrong ? :( thank you in advance.

Thanks for the reply Sulasno - you gave me a moments hope. I tried pressing the power and up volume, as well as power and both volume up and down button but it just eventually reboots as I can hear the boot music but the screen stays black (You can actually 'see' it lit black in the dark so know there is some power.

So effectively the screen isn't working? What if you let the battery run out, charge it from 0. Even if the warranty is out, Samsung might help you considering its such a new device.

Yes will try your suggestion. However I think it is not to do with the battery as everything appears to work/function except the screen is not showing anything as you said. I have emailed Samsung and will see what they say. Thank you for repying though and your suggestion.

Anyone recommend a good mobile phone repair place for my 7.7 and this problem? Has anyone used 'Samsung Mobile Phone Repairs' before ?
http://www.samsungmo...-repair-centre/
I spoke to Samsung and they said speak to 'Anova Repair Centre' who also repairs. Anyone have experience of them?
thanks.

Yes, I'm afraid I have dealt with them - they're Samsung's official repair agents in the UK.

I sent a 4-month old original 7" Tab to them for repair - it had a battery problem. They repaired it ok, but in doing so they upgraded the version of Android to the latest version and this messed up the 3G and WiFi. They then downgraded it to the previous version and despite this they were unable to get it working properly again, so Samsung refunded my money. I suppose you could look on it as a year's free tablet use, but it was REALLY annoying. Anovo returned my Tab in a jiffy bag each time - nothing else, no padding - and I was amazed that it never got damaged!

Hopefully they have got their act together by now as this was a few months ago.
