The "G" stands for GPRS and is part of the older 2G GSM network, hence the slow data speed. We need to establish a few things first.....

Is the SIM card you have fitted a 3G SIM and what network are you using ?

Can you go into Settings/Wirless and Network/Mobile Networks/Network Mode and make sure it is set to GSM/WCDMA (Auto Mode) - This will allow the tab to switch between 3G AND 2G networks

Hope that helps

Derek

Also, when you're on operator data (GSM/WCDMA), the various levels of speeds the 7.7 shows are E (edge), 3G , H and H+, in order of speed.

Extra info like what network you're using (i.e. operator, data sim package etc) would help!
Don't Be ..... Unknown(SAD)
