8.9 tablet as phone..haha?

I think i've seen a 7inch tablet used as a phone and and wondering im able to use this as a phone as well (8.9 att tablet).. its unlocked and i have a sim card on a different phone.. im sure it has to be jailbroken... keep in mind i don't use my cellphone often but do carry my tablet everywhere just want to consolidate... this is actually very bizaree request because i don't think i would even do it but curiosity is asking

I'm also interested in an answer to this as I would ideally like to do the same. I have Wi-fi + LTE Tab.

I suppose one way would be to use Skype but that would restrict you to outgoing calls only.

Unfortunately, they don't tell how to actually achieve the phone calls. I did a little more searching and it appears that phone calls can be done in Europe but not in the USA and it's a service provider issue. The service providers are blocking voice calls but allowing data exchange using the SIM card. Bummer.

it seems to me that if you have a sim with data and voice active it should work in the usa also
i got it working on my tab... i will try to post a little more info later today or tomorrow when i'm in front of my pc.
i have all the info there.
