New to Tablets. I have some movies on an external hard drive, when I connect the hard drive to the tablet, it says the drive is a blank device. Do i need to check the movie formats or is playing my movies from a hard drive not possible?

External Hard Drive

are you connecting the hard drive via the USB Adaptor ?, the adaptor review says
"there is no way to supply power for high power USB devices, which in turn severely restricts what you can connect.
It may be possible to plug in a powered USB hub and then plug high-power devices into that"
if you connect your external hard drive to your PC & set it as a "Shared" drive, it should show up on your "Home-Network"
& can be accessed from your Tab with a "File Explorer" (not the stock "My Files)

I was trying to use a powered (115v) external hard drive if that helps.
